#6506 - ADELOYADA! - Lose your mind, get drunk on Purim.

The Talmud says that a Jew must get drunk on Purim to the point of not being able to distinguish between the cursed Haman and the blessed Mordechai!

Does Judaism really encourage drunkenness?

Listen to Rabbi Yossi Jacobson describe the partnership between Haman and king Achashveirosh including Haman's reason's for plotting to kill all the Jews. And let me ask you, if Queen Esther is the closest person to the King and she influences him to cancel the decree to kill the Jews because she is Jewish, why do we consider Purim such a great miracle? After all, when the viceroy challenges the Queen, shouldn't the Queen win?

Put these questions together with a few drinks, and Voila! You have a happy Purim!

Have your shot cups handy and join us for a drink with Rabbi Yossi Jacobson at www.cablejew.com as we warm up to the joyous holiday of Purim.

 Happy PUUUUUUUUUUUUURIM!
